One Team-One Mission: Mock drill on disaster mgmt at SRN hosp

Prayagraj: Military Hospital (MH) Prayagraj, in collaboration with SRN Hospital and Motilal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC), conducted a mock drill on disaster management at SRN Hospital's dedicated CBRNE and disaster ward on Tuesday to bolster emergency preparedness.This initiative, under the aegis of the 'One Team One Mission: Saving Lives through seamless civil-military coordination programme', exemplifies coordination between defence and civilian medical establishments.
SRN Hospital media in charge Dr Santosh Singh said the exercise was graced by the presence of commandant and delegation from MH Prayagraj, and from SRN Hospital/MLNMC Dr VK Pandey, Dr Neelam Singh, Dr (Major) Jitendra Shukla, Dr Alok Singh, Dr RK Tiwari, Dr Muktesh Singh, accompanied by their expert teams comprising senior residents, junior residents, nursing staff and paramedical personnel. The simulation encompassed critical elements like mass casualty triage, disaster management protocols, resource mobilisation, inter-agency communication and coordinated patient care protocols, ensuring a robust response framework. Dr Pandey said: "Such collaborative drills are pivotal in forging a unified front against disasters. Every team member, from senior consultants to nursing staff, plays a vital role in our preparedness ecosystem." Dr Jitendra Shukla said such coordination between military and civilian medical institutions plays a crucial role in minimising loss of life and property in the event of a real disaster. Regular mock drills significantly improve both response time and treatment capacity.
