The NSUI leadership on Tuesday chalked out its strategy to connect with students with the objective to register a win in AUSU 2017 polls scheduled on October 14.

Senior NSUI leader

Jitesh Mishra

told TOI, “Two ex-presidents of Rajasthan University, Anil Chopra and Satendra Chaudhary, arrived in the city on Tuesday to chalk out NSUI strategy for upcoming AUSU polls”.

“The national president of NSUI, Fairoz Khan, would be arriving on Thursday to boost the morale of volunteers,” he added.

Mishra further informed, “Once the nominations of NSUI candidates are filed, senior Congress leaders, including UPCC chief Raj Babbar, Youth Congress In-charge of UP BV Srinivasan, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, ex-MP

Pradeep Aditya Jain

and senior leaders BP Singh and Deepak Singh would also be coming to campaign for NSUI candidates in AUSU polls”.

“NSUI has coined fresh slogans like ‘Protect AU, Save AU and Take Back AU’ to gain support of students. As NSUI has not been able to win in AUSU election after 2003, leaders are leaving no stone unturned for victory this year,” he added.

“The volunteers are working hard to win over students,” said Rajeev Yadav, NSUI district president. “The victory in DUSU poll has boosted the morale of the volunteers. We will be fighting the AUSU 2017 polls on 13 specific points for the welfare of students,” he added.

“Like DUSU polls, the district NSUI leadership has this time focused on student issues only,” said Mishra.

The NSUI campaign has already started and includes issues like common room for girl students in every department, good library and canteen facilities, sports and cultural activities, hostel availability as well as improvement in the academic atmosphere.
