Now, book Allahabad Museum tickets online
Prayagraj: Visitors to the Allahabad Museum can now book entry tickets online, a move aimed at easing congestion at ticket counters and improving access for tourists. The online booking facility became operational on Thursday as part of govt’s push towards digital services. Visitors can now purchase tickets from anywhere and select a preferred date of visit. The initiative was launched under Govt of India’s digital drive and implemented under the supervision of museum director Soumya Agrawal. The system is powered by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and has been developed by Airpaxit agency using a QR code-based platform. The QR code and booking link are available on the museum’s official website and its social media platforms. Users can scan the code to access detailed information about the museum and book tickets according to visitor category. Ticket prices have been fixed at ₹20 and ₹50 for Indian visitors, while foreign nationals can purchase tickets for ₹500. Officials said seven tickets were booked online on the first day of the launch. From May 2, visitors will also be able to buy tickets from all entry gates of Azad Park, further improving ease of access. The initiative is expected to boost tourism and offer a more seamless experience to visitors.
