NCR GM inspects stations Chunar Jn, reviews redevelopment works

Prayagraj: North Central Railway (NCR) General Manager Naresh Pal Singh on Wednesday conducted a detailed inspection of Chunar Junction, stressing the need for quality construction and enhanced passenger amenities.The Chunar Junction is being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme.During the visit, he reviewed ongoing works including station modernisation, platform development, cleanliness, drinking water, lighting and facilities for differently abled, along with progress of the foot overbridge.He directed officials to ensure timely completion of all works while maintaining high standards, stating that providing modern facilities and improved passenger experience remains a top priority under the scheme.Senior officials, including DRM Prayagraj Division, Rajnish Agrawal, were present during the inspection.The GM also inspected Jhingura station, where he assessed progress on the new goods shed and the upcoming station building being constructed as part of the third line project between Prayagraj and Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay section. At Birohi station, he reviewed the newly built station building along with panel and relay rooms.
Inspections were also carried out at Gaipura and Iradatganj stations, where he examined ongoing construction and future expansion plans.He stressed strengthening basic amenities even at smaller stations to ensure passenger convenience.
