Minor alleges ‘inappropriate’ behaviour by 11-yr-old boy
Prayagraj: Police in Fatehpur are probing an incident at a private school where a five-year-old girl has alleged inappropriate behaviour by an 11-year-old boy inside the school washroom on Monday afternoon. The cops have registered an FIR under section 65(2) of BNS and Pocso Act and are making efforts to ascertain the identity of the accused through the victim's counselling. SP (Fatehpur) Abhimanyu Manglik said the incident came to the fore when parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the Radha Nagar police. According to the complaint, the child returned home from school and complained of discomfort. The family took her to a doctor, who conducted a medical check-up, prescribed medicines and discharged her. After returning home, the girl reportedly told her parents that an older student had taken her to the school washroom and behaved inappropriately. Upon being alerted by parents, the Radha Nagar police sent the girl for medical examination, and two senior-rank police officials, including CO Line\Crime, rushed to the spot and carried out an investigation. Police claimed that they have been counselling the victim to ensure the identification of the accused, and action would be taken accordingly.
