Locals set SUV on fire

ALLAHABAD: Panic gripped Beli Road and adjoining areas under Colonelganj police station on Friday evening after some locals set an SUV belonging to a senior government doctor on fire. Locals reacted after the blue beacon fitted SUV hit a motorcyclist.
Soon, locals assembled at the spot and entered into a heated argument with the SUV driver. Before the police could arrive, agitated locals set the vehicle afire.On getting information, the police reached the spot but the vehicle had been reduced to ashes. The locals who set the vehicles afire, however, fled before the arrival of the police.
