Law students clash on campus of Allahabad University

Two students, belonging to 5-year law course of the Allahabad University, clashed at the campus of Law faculty on Thursday. One student of IV semester has been issued a notice in this regard and has been given 24 hours to submit his reply.

ALLAHABAD: Two students, belonging to 5-year law course of the Allahabad University, clashed at the campus of Law faculty on Thursday. One student of IV semester has been issued a notice in this regard and has been given 24 hours to submit his reply.
According to the AU authorities, two students, Sabhya Sanchi Rai of second semester and Prashant Ranjan Dwivedi of fourth semester, entered into an altercation on Wednesday night at Katra locality of the city.

While Rai is an inmate of Radhakrishnan hostel, Dwivedi is an inmate of Satabadi boys hostel of AU. Following the altercation, Prashant threatened Rai of dire consequences.
When Rai informed his parents, who reside in Jhunsi area of the city, his father approached the chief proctor and narrated the entire episode of Wednesday night.
On Thursday, as Rai came out of the department after giving his sessional test, he was thrashed by a group of youngsters including Prashant. By the time the guards could intervene and inform the faculty members present at the department, the group escaped from the spot.
Meanwhile, the chief proctor Prof Jata Shankar has issued a notice to Prashant and has given him 24 hours to give his reply on the episode.
