ISI agent gets life sentence

Pakistan ISI agent Masroor alias Ramesh Chaudhary was sentenced to life imprisonment by the upper session court and a penalty of Rs.10,000 was imposed on him.

BAHRAICH: Pakistan ISI agent Masroor alias Ramesh Chaudhary was sentenced to life imprisonment by the upper session court and a penalty of Rs.10,000 was imposed on him. He was caught on Nepal border by ATS and several maps of important places like military camp in Lucknow and Vidhan Bhawan building were recovered from his possession. He was in Unnao jail.

Police took him back to Unnao jail after the verdict was announced.
The ATS got information that an ISI agent was staying in Bahraich and sending confidential information to Pakistan through Nepal. In August 2008, the inspector of ATS Lucknow Tejbahadur Singh and Vimlesh Kumar raided a place at Babaganj railway station near Rupaideeha and arrested ISI agent Pakistani Masroor alias Guddu alias Ramesh Chaudhary, resident of 33, house no 154/4, Warden best Karachi. Many confidential documents of military camp Lucknow, Vidhan Bhawan Lucknow, Charbagh railway station Lucknow, military brigade their records and code numbers were recovered from his possession. The fake entry pass of Vidhan Bhawan Lucknow, railway tickets to Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai, photographs, diary, fake voter ID card and a ration card of Lucknow were also recovered from him.
The Pakistani ISI agent got a job in Banaras glass house at Lalbagh Lucknow by changing his identity and on the basis of his job managed to get a fake ID card as a Lucknow resident. He had taken a room on rent at railway compound in Lucknow.
