HC directs collection of Azam’s voice sample

Prayagraj: The Allahabad HC has refused to quash an order passed by Rampur’s MP/MLA court on October 29, 2022, whereby a direction was issued to former MP Azam Khan to give his voice sample in a 2007 hate speech case.Justice Rajeev Misra, while disposing off a petition filed by Azam Khan, directed that the voice sample shall be collected as per provision of the Indian Evidence Act after obtaining a certificate under section 65b of the Indian Evidence Act from Sanjay (proprietor of Pooja Cassette Centre), who had recorded the event on August 7, 2007.
