FIR against 248 persons

BAHRAICH: A day after villagers clashed with police demanding permanent solution to floods due to Ghagra river, FIR has been lodged against 248 of them for indulging in brick batting and damaging over half a dozen government vehicles in Bansgadhi village under Baundi Police station area.
No casualty was reported, but over two dozen policemen and villagers were injured in the brick batting, SP Bahraich GP Kanojia said, and added 18 persons have been arrested in this connection.
