PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court has come to the rescue of three siblings from a Muslim family, who were expelled from a private school in Amroha district for allegedly bringing non-vegetarian food in his tiffin box.
Hearing a writ petition filed by a woman and her three children, a division bench of Justice Siddhartha and Justice Subhash Chandra Sharma, in the order dated Dec 17, directed the Amroha district magistrate to ensure that the three children (the boy and his siblings) are admitted to another CBSE-affiliated school within two weeks, and file an affidavit.
Failure to comply will require the DM to be present before the court on Jan 6, the court directed. According to the petition, the three siblings were expelled by the principal of a private school in Sep 2024.
