`Electronic media has revolutionised social life'

ALLAHABAD: A two-day national seminar on the topic `Paradigm Shift In Literature And Media And Its Impact On Contemporary Society' began on Sunday at Iswar Saran Degree College.
Chief guest on the occasion was vice-chancellor of Nehru Gram Bharti University, Allahabad, Dr K P Mishra. He highlighted the area of media and said that technology has key role in paradigm shift.The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof R S Sharma. He said that the whole age is the age of paradigm shift. Paradigm of culture, paradigm of media, paradigm of literature, paradigm of society all form a network of paradigm. It is a network of ideas. It is a shift and best example is provided by Newton and Einstein.
The principal and patron of the seminar spoke on the relevance and importance of media and literature in modern society. He said that the distance between advertisement and news has decreased. The convener of the seminar Dr U K Dwivedi spoke on how media and literature reflects our life. He further said that electronic media has revolutionised social life.
Dr Kanu Priya Verma proposed vote of thanks while Dr Anuja Saluja conducted the programme.
