A meeting was organized at Karikot temple in Urra in Balha by
Samajwadi Party on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, irrigation minister Shivpal Yadav said that SP always talks about development. The minister said that people can change the picture of the area by voting and supporting the candidate of the present government. Yadav said that he was the first person to visit the area after he got information of flood and issued orders to compensate the damage caused due to flood by holding meetings with officials of irrigation department.
On the issue of making Mihipurwa a town and tehsil area, he said that the announcement for it would be made during the victory ceremony of SP candidate.
Several other SP leaders highlighted the achievements of SP government in the last three years.
In another election meeting, UPCC chief Nirmal Khatri said that crime is at its peak in the state. Incidents of theft, loot, rape and murder are increasing at rapid pace and criminals are roaming freely. He said SP and BJP are creating the atmosphere of communalism in the state and playing the game of polarization.
Khatri addressed a meeting in Balha. Taking SP and BJP to task, he said that whenever SP comes into power in the state, communal forces get even more violent. BJP and SP are indulging politics of polarization.
He said that law and order situation in the state is at its worst. More than 250 riots have taken place in two and half years of the tenure of SP government. The common man is in trouble while the Central government is trying to get the admiration of the people by inaugurating projects started during UPA government. Prime Minister
