is all set to get a makeover after district authorities approved the funds for the same. District Magistrate, Raj Shekhar
on Monday visited the Children Home and granted Rs
1 lakh
for restructuring floor and renovating bathrooms besides getting a whitewash. New CSL tubes would be installed in place of bulbs and back-up for electricity will be made in order to provide 24-hours electric supply.
He also ordered to install fire extinguishers and exhaust fan at the children home.
Further, he ordered Children Home authorities to get the premises cleaned twice a day and also to install a washing machine for children's clothes.
DM has also directed officials of rural engineering department to upgrade the building status and also spoke to chief medical officer, Allahabad to update the medical board. He also inspected the status of meals being prepared for the children and asked about the cooking arrangements besides inspecting every room and kitchen of the home. On the occasion, the DM also interacted with children and asked about their well being and problems. Health officers, meanwhile, said apart from three assistant teachers, a medical staff including two doctors and four nurses have also been deputed to take better care of the children.
