Divyanshi tops in Class 12, Prince bags Class 10 first rank

Prayagraj: Girls continued to outshine boys in the High School and Intermediate examinations, the results of which were announced by director (secondary education) and chairperson, Madhyamik Shiksha Board (UP Board), Sarita Tiwari, here on Saturday.
Divyanshi of Fatehpur topped Class XII Board exam while Prince Patel of Kanpur Nagar bagged the top rank in Class X examination.

The overall pass percentage of Class X was 88.18% whereas for Class XII, it was 85.33%.
Results of Class X and Class XII were announced in a gap of two hours. In total, 24,10,971 students had registered for the Intermediate exam but only 22,37,578 appeared out of which 19,09,249 were successful. In Class X, out of 27,81,645 registered students only 25,20,634 appeared and 22,22,745 were successful, said Tiwari.
In district-wise board results, Banda topped the list with 95.32% overall pass percentage followed by Hamirpur at second place with 93.01% and Lucknow with 92.16% at third place.
