ALLAHABAD: The district police have decided to seek the assistance of ballistic experts to ascertain in which circumstances, the senior IAS officer, posted in New Delhi, Krishna Chand sustained injuries.
Senior IAS officer, Krishna Chand sustained injuries after two rival groups clashed at Palikanpur village under Sarayinayat police circle on Sunday.
Superintendent of police, Trans-Ganga, Shafiq Ahmed told TOI that we have been investigating the case thoroughly and in which circumstances the senior IAS officers suffered gun-shot wounds. He further added that the police have been checking allegations and counter -allegations of both the groups to reach on conclusion.
Reports reaching here said that two groups came at loggerheads over a property dispute and freely exchanged brisk and sticks.
Reports further added that the IAS officer Krishna Chandra sustained injuries with his one of the leg and being treated at a city hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.
Meanwhile, the supporters of the rival party alleged that the officers sustained injuries during the scuffle and no one had intentionally fired on him. Police officials claimed that they have been investigating the case and statements of both sides have been recorded. Eight persons have been detained so far in connection with the clash incident.
