“Born on December 14, 2016, Mehak was just 10 days old when her mother first took her to the center for getting her Aadhar made, but after initial reluctance, the center employees finaly agreed to start the process for allotting UID (unique identification number) number to Mehak”, informed Nazia Nafees, president of Al Kausar Society of the city.
The commissioner honoured the parents by giving them shawl and gifts for the little child. He also said that these parents are a role model for other parents who are still reluctant from getting the Aadhar number for either themselves or their wards. “If an illiterate parents like these two can understand the value of Aadhar, why can’t others”, said Goel.
