ALLAHABAD: Colonelganj police, on Tuesday, arrested two notorious criminals identified as Dinesh Yadav and Narayan Mishra, residents of Nawabganj and Sultanpur respectively after a brief encounter. The police have also seized 200 gram toxic substance, one 0.315 bore country made pistol and two live cartridges from their possession.
Police claimed that Dinesh Yadav had a vast criminal sketch and as many as eight criminal cases including loot, murder and Gangster Act were pending against him.
Police further maintained that Dheeraj Kumar Hela (who was nabbed by police in connection with Mumfordganj based doctor's wife murder case) was in constant touch with Dinesh Yadav and the duo had planned to execute a loot at IMA Blood Bank.
Inspector, Colonelganj police station, CD Gaur told TOI that Dheeraj, who was working at IMA Blood Bank for the last one and half yeas, had planned to execute loot at IMA Blood Bank with the help of three criminals - Dinesh Yadav, Ganesh Yadav and Shanu Yadav.
The plan of executing loot at blood bank was hatched about three months back and these criminals had chosen `Saturday' for the crime thinking that there would be adequate cash collection at the blood bank centre.
In the meantime, Ganesh Yadav was arrested by Pratapgarh police in connection with Hathigaon loot case and the idea was dropped.
Following that Dheeraj had too dropped the idea to execute loot at blood bank and then planned to commit dacoity at the doctor's house in Mumfordganj.
Police, meanwhile, added "as Dheeraj was going to marry, he had asked his accomplices to arrange at least Rs 10 lakh so that he would be able to get a two wheeler, jewellery and cash for him and his family members before the wedding."
Police said that Dheeraj then roped in his childhood friend, Rajoo Patel to execute the loot at the doctor's house and they had on March 28 had executed dacoity at doctor's house and killed doctor's wife.
