Apart from Giri and Das, other invitees include Narendranand Saraswati, Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Mauni Baba and Satua Baba.
VHP spokesperson Ashwani Mishra said, “Chief minister Aditya Nath Yogi will attend the Sant Sammelan as the Goraksh Peethadhishwar Mahant of Gorakhpur. Apart from prominent saints, around 5,000 other seers from different parts of the country would also be attending the meet.”
Mishra said that the most of saints, who would be attending the conclave, are currently camping at the ongoing Magh Mela. He also said that VHP office bearers, on Thursday, reviewed the arrangements for the event.
The VHP premises have been decorated in saffron colour and a group of Allahabad University students have made a ‘rangoli’ in the front of the dais, where the saints would be seated.
Meanwhile, the Mela police claimed to have made ample security arrangements for the chief minister’s visit. Over 1,000 policemen including six additional SPs, 12 deputy SPs, 20 station house officers, and 250 sub-inspectors have been assigned duties at the Mela ground. The CM is also likely to visit Sangam to pray and take stock of the preparations for Kumbh-2019.
The CM will reach the venue at 1:25 pm and will also review sanitation arrangements for the ongoing Magh Mela, after which he would attend the conclave.
