BJP UP secy Anamika Chaudhary carries out SIR awareness drive

Prayagraj: Bharatiya Janata Party's state secretary Anamika Chaudhary on Sunday offered special prayers at Dashashwamedh Ghat and Sangam before carrying out an awareness campaign for the special voter revision. She also interacted with people living on the banks of the Ganga, shopkeepers, and pilgrims.From Nov 4 to Dec 4, the BLOs (booth level officers) are scheduled to visit houses to get the enumeration forms filled by voters. The BLOs will visit at least three times. If the house is found locked, the enumeration forms will be left as slips. If no family member is present, the enumeration form will be given to the head of the family. Migrants or residents living outside the area can use the online process. The filled forms will be collected, and one signed copy will be given to the voter.The rationalisation and reorganisation of polling stations will be done on Dec 4. It is estimated that approximately 20,000 new booths will be added in the state. A maximum of 1,200 voters will be allowed per booth. After this, from Dec 5 to Dec 8, the control table will be updated and the voter list will be prepared. The voter list will be published on Dec 9, and objections can be filed from Dec 9, 2025, to Jan 8, 2026. Objections will be settled by the ERO (Electoral Registration Officer) from Dec 9 to Jan 31, 2026.The commission's permission will be required for checking the health parameters of the voter lists and for final publication. Subsequently, the new voter list will be published on Feb 7, 2026.
