Prayagraj: The Dhoomanganj police filed its second charge sheet in the killing of lawyer Umesh Pal and two of his police gunners against eight persons, including slain gangster Atiq Ahmed’s brother- in-law and lawyer, at a local court in Prayagraj on Saturday.
The charge sheet was filed against Qais Ahmed, Rakesh alias Nakesh alias Lala, Mohd Arshad Katra, Niyaz Ahmed, Iqbal Ahmed alias Mohd Sajar, Sahrooq alias Shahrukh, Akhlaq Ahmed (Atiq’s brother in-law) and Khan Saulat Haneef (Atiq’s lawyer), naming them as conspirators and ‘madadgar’ (helpers) in the killing of Umesh Pal.
All these eight persons are currently lodged at Naini Central Jail.
