Allahabad will soon be called 'Prayagraj'

ALLAHABAD: UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said Allahabad will soon be re-christened Prayagraj. The state has earlier renamed Mughalsarai Junction and Mughalsarai as Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Nagar, after the co-founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
The formal announcement on Saturday came after governor Ram Naik approved a proposal for the same.The proposal was made by nodal body of Hindu monastics Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and other monks.
