PRAYAGRAJ: Sri Satya Sai Seva Samiti, Prayagraj organised a blood donation camp in the city, on Sunday. Held at Ashok Nagar locality of the city, the camp was organised in association with Allahabad medical association blood bank.
More than 50 donors turned up to donate blood and underwent the set of investigations after which 25 donors were found within the parameters for the purpose of donating blood.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Justice
Ashwani Mishra of Allahabad High Court. Justice Mishra too donated blood after the ceremonial inauguration of the camp. Those who attended the event included judges from Allahabad High court, state law officers of the High Court, businessmen etc.
The highlight of the camp was the fact that youngsters from the age group of 18-19 years too volunteered for donating their blood. Many women donors too turned up for the noble cause. A certificate of appreciation was also given to those who donate blood at the camp.
“On every third Sunday of the month of September this voluntary blood donation camp is organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisations all over the country”, informed additional chief standing council and senior member of the samiti, Akhileshwar Singh.
