5 held on charges of providing shelters to killers

ALLAHABAD: Colonelganj police, on Monday, arrested five persons on charges of providing shelters to the accused of a doctor's wife murder cum dacoity case. The police have also recovered a suitcase and other household items which was purchased on the looted money from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as Moolchandra, Sooraj, Jeetu, Shambhoo and Bhanu, residents of Cooper Road.A case under section 216 of Indian Penal Code has been registered against them.
Inspector, colonelganj, CD Gaur told TOI that the duo accused of the doctor's wife murder case including Dheeraj Kumar Hela and Rajoo alias Pawan Verma had taken shelter at the house of Moolchandra, Jeetu and Bhanu after executing the crime.
He added that these persons had not only provided them shelters, but also purchased several items from the looted money.
