3 ATM fraudsters held in Pratapgarh

PRAYAGRAJ: Three members of an inter-district racket involved in ATM fraud and cloning were arrested by a team of Pratapgarh police on Wednesday and seized 14 ATM cards of different banks.

The arrest was made near Sahabganj bazar road while plotting to cheat ATM kiosk visitor. The arrested persons were identified as Aditya Shukla, Rohit Shukla and Vipin Pandey, residents of Lilapur and Khajoorni respectively.

An FIR undersection 411, 413, 419 and 420 of IPC was registered in this connection. Police said that the gang members aged between 20 and 30 years used to target victims hailing from rural background and those ATM kiosks without guards. They used to target crowded ATM kiosks in rural areas. Police said that Vipin Pandey and Rohit Shukla had already been sent behind the bars twice on fraud charges.
