2 arrested for July 12 violence on AU campus

Prayagraj: Colonelganj police on Saturday night arrested two persons, including Ajay Singh Yadav aka Ajay Samrat and Jitendra Dhanraj, residents of Jhunsi and Ghazipur, respectively, in connection with the July 12 incident of violence in which teachers were reportedly assaulted and university property was vandalised.Colonelganj station house officer Brijesh Singh told TOI that two students had been arrested so far and efforts were on to ensure arrest of others named in the FIR. He also said police teams were conducting raids on the hideouts of the absconders.tnn
