In the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly elections, the overall voter turnout for the Vidhyadhar Nagar Assembly Constituency reached 72.55 percent. Diya Kumari, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), currently serves as the Lok Sabha member from Rajsamand. In the 2013 Rajasthan Assembly Election, she secured victory in the Sawai Madhopur constituency, defeating Kirodi Lal Meena with a margin of 7,532 votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, Kumari won the Rajsamand constituency by a substantial margin of 5,51,916 votes, triumphing over Congress candidate Devkinandan Kaka.
