Video of minor beaten, urinated upon goes viral

Ajmer: A video has gone viral in which 10-12 young men can be seen beating up a minor boy on Ana Sagar Chaupati in Ajmer. The video shows that the victim was forced to kneel down and the men urinated on him. On Monday, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) requested the additional SP (city) to act against the accused. The police official asked the Christian Ganj police station to act in this matter.Saurabh Kumar, vice-president of Ajmer city BJP youth wing on Monday, accompanied by the victim, gave a memorandum to police officials. The victim is a 17-year-old and studies in Class 10. The victim said that on January 26, he was making a reel at Ana Sagar Chaupati when around 10-12 young men approached him and asked him what he was doing. They then started beating him. The accused were carrying sticks and beat him with them, he said. Later, they forced him to kneel down and then some of them urinated on him. “The victim is a Dalit. He is in a state of shock as the accused put the video on different social sites,” said Saurabh Kumar.He added that all the accused are from one particular community.After hearing the grievances, additional SP Mahmood Khan directed the Christian Ganj police to investigate the incident and act against the accused if found guilty.
