RPSC files 1st FIR under new law on unfair means

Ajmer: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has filed the first case under the new and stringent anti-cheating law after a candidate from Sanchore allegedly fielded a dummy candidate in the School Lecturer Exam 2022.On Thursday, the RPSC filed an FIR against Dinesh Kumar under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act at the district’s Civil Lines police station. This action was taken after the scrutiny of his documents for eligibility verification. Multiple anomalies were discovered between the photo of Kumar and the individual who appeared at the examination centre.Officials said that the RPSC was conducting verification of passed candidates and undertook scrutiny of photographs of candidates who appeared at examination centres and compared them with the photographs that were pasted on their application forms. During this verification process, the RPSC discovered that there were two different candidates with the same name. One had applied for the exam, while the other appeared at the examination centre, raising suspicions of fraudulent activity.According to the FIR, Kumar was assigned roll number 232535 at a Jalori gate examination centre in Jodhpur for the exam held on October 11, 2022. To conduct further verification, the RPSC called the candidate to their office on September 15, but the candidate appeared on October 3. During the questioning, the candidate was unable to provide satisfactory answers, leading the RPSC to conclude that someone else had appeared at the examination centre using his name.The matter was initially reported to the DIG of the Special Operations Group (SOG) on July 31, and the SOG subsequently referred the case to the RPSC for further investigation and verification.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the answer key for the RPSC RAS Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023. Candidates can access the answer key and model question papers on the RPSC's official website. Objections can be raised online with a fee of Rs 100 per question. The RPSC has shared that 65.71% of registered candidates attended the exam, with varying attendance levels in different districts. Candidates who pass the pre-exam will move on to the main exam, which will have descriptive questions.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission is set to conduct the RPSC RAS Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023 on October 1. Candidates should arrive early, bring all required materials, and read instructions carefully. They should pace themselves, mark questions for review, and use their time wisely. Candidates must be present at the exam centers well before the scheduled start to complete the security check and identification process. Latecomers may be deprived of appearing in the examination.

Dr Vijaykumar Srivastava, Dr Jagannath Patil, and Dr Manoj Dixit were shortlisted as candidates for the position of vice-chancellor at M S University. The search committee, which included Dr Ajay Ranka, Professor Jai Prakask Saini, and Professor Pratapsinh Chauhan, reviewed the candidates. According to Professor Satish Pathak, both Patil and Dixit had more experience than Srivastava. The selection process is ongoing.
