(SP) Abhijeet Singh on Thursday removed Chitawa police station in-charge, sub-inspector Parkesh Meena and issued him a chargesheet under section 17CC of the service rules.

The action was taken as the station house officer (
SHO
) failed to register
FIR
over the complaint of a lewd video of a Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officer and a woman constable that surfaced on social media. The RPS officer and the woman cop were suspended on Wednesday.
Inquiry against the removed SHO of Chitawa has been given to the Additional SP of Didwana in Nagaur district.
SHO Parkesh Meena is charged for not registering FIR given by the husband of the woman constable. The husband accused his wife and the RPS officer Heeralal Saini of indulging in sexual activities.
The complaint was given on August 2, but the SHO neither registered it nor initiated any proceedings.
RPS Heeralal Saini was posted as circle officer of Beawar town in Ajmer district. The woman constable was posted with the Jaipur commissionerate.
