Ajmer: Not just paper leaks and cheating, examination bodies like the Rajasthan Public Service commission (RPSC) also face a challenge from new technologies like AI (Artificial Intelligence) that can morph photographs and documents. Officials say they need better technological equipment to distinguish between photographs on different forms and to match them against the candidate appearing in the exam to prevent impersonation.In the past three months, 3 cases have been registered by RPSC under the new law to prevent unfair means in recruitment exams. All these cases relate to imperonation of candidates. A retired official of RPSC said that now mass cheating or paper leaks are not so much of a problem as new technology and AI that can easily morph photographs and documents. Sources in the RPSC said that technology is changing fast and it is difficult to keep up with it. RPSC this year identified 19 cases in just a single recruitment exam (senior teacher Sanskrit) as doubtful and called candidates for verifcation.“New technology mixes the faces of two persons so much that one photograph can produce two different perspectives,” said a student of computer science.
