Ajmer: Days after the Jalore incident in which a nine-year-old boy was killed allegedly after being beaten by a teacher, another 9-year-old student studying in class 4 was allegedly assaulted by the vice-principal of a government school in Bijaynagar police station of Ajmer district on Wednesday. Sources said the student suffered an eye injury. Police have initiated investigation and took the student for medical examination.
According to police, Shambhu Singh, a resident of Sanjay Nagar of Bijaynagar, lodged a complaint on Wednesday that his son Pankaj Singh of Government Senior Secondary School of Baral went to washroom after taking permission from his class teacher on Tuesday.
The complaint alleged that on the way to washroom, vice-principal
Sanjay Sharma met Pankaj and was annoyed that he was roaming in the corridor and allegedly beat him. Because of the beating, Pankaj vision in the left eye became blurred and it swelled.
The vice-principal told journalists that when he was on a round, some students were fighting and when they saw him, they started running and one of them fell on the ground and got injured.
