AJMER: A teacher of government senior secondary school in Bhanwta village was assaulted and tied to a tree by villagers of Bhanwta village after an 11-year-old student alleged bad touch. Later police booked the teacher under
POCSO Act. On Saturday, when the supporters of the teacher came to know about the incident, they also reached the school and staged a protest.
They also locked the school
gate claiming the teacher was innocent.
Deputy SP Islam Khan said that the parents of the victim gave a report at Pisnaghan police station stating physical abuse by the teacher. The victim is a student of Class 6 and according to her parents when she returned from school on Friday, she was nervous and frightened. When coaxed she alleged that her teacher Mahalaxman Meghwanshi intentionally touched her with bad intention.
