Government school teacher tied to tree, assaulted for molesting student in Ajmer

A teacher at a government senior secondary school in a village was assaulted and tied to a tree by villagers after an 11-year-old student alleged that he had been touched inappropriately. The teacher was later booked under the Pocso Act. When the teacher's supporters learned of the incident, they staged a protest at the school and locked the gate. The parents of the victim gave a report to the police stating that the teacher had physically abused the victim. The victim is a student of class 6 and according to her parents, when she returned from school on Friday she was nervous and frightened. She alleged that her teacher, Mahalaxman Meghwanshi, had intentionally touched her with bad intention.

AJMER: A teacher of government senior secondary school in Bhanwta village was assaulted and tied to a tree by villagers of Bhanwta village after an 11-year-old student alleged bad touch. Later police booked the teacher under POCSO Act. On Saturday, when the supporters of the teacher came to know about the incident, they also reached the school and staged a protest.

They also locked the school gate claiming the teacher was innocent.
Deputy SP Islam Khan said that the parents of the victim gave a report at Pisnaghan police station stating physical abuse by the teacher. The victim is a student of Class 6 and according to her parents when she returned from school on Friday, she was nervous and frightened. When coaxed she alleged that her teacher Mahalaxman Meghwanshi intentionally touched her with bad intention.
