Rajasthan woman given triple talaq, thrown out of house

AJMER: A 26-year-old woman on Monday knocked the doors of senior police officers, alleging that she was thrown out of her house after her husband pronounced talaq thrice. She said the community was also standing with him on this act. She said she had lodged a complaint at Mahila police station four months ago but no action was taken.

The woman, whose parental home is in Ajmer district, told Ajmer SP her husband, Mohammad Alam of Makrana, had demanded Rs 5 lakh as dowry and beat her up over it. The SP instructed officials to take action in the case as per law.
