Youth's body found from Sabarmati river

AHMEDABAD: Body of a 26-year-old youth was found from Sabarmati river near Raikhad on Tuesday morning. The youth, later identified as Vijay Sumra, 26, was missing from his home for last three days, said investigators.
According to Ellisbridge police station officials, city fire brigade personnel fished out a body from near Raikhad Opera Guest House at around 10 am on Tuesday.The body had no injury marks, making police officials believe it to be a case of suicide.
"The victim was a resident of Raikhad Darwaja area and was mentally unstable. Earlier too, he had run away from his house and was later found in the nearby areas. This time, however, he had been missing since July 24 morning and did not come back. We believe that it might be a case of suicide. We are investigating all the possibilities," said an Ellisbridge police station official.
