Ahmedabad: Kutch Warriors beat Gohilwad Gladiators in the final to lift the Saurashtra Premier League (SPL) 2023 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Thursday. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Warriors scored a fighting total of 156 for seven. Samarth Vyas was the top scorer with 39, while Harvik Desai (33 off 20 balls) and Aranyadevsinh Jhala (33 off 21 balls) helped boost the team’s total. For Gladiators, Ankur Panwar took three wickets for 24, while Saurya Sanandiya took two for 28.
Despite Raxit Mehta’s breezy 72 off 41 balls, Gladiators were all out for 135 in 19.3 overs and lost by 21 runs. Kushang Patel took four for 21 for Warriors. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took two wickets, while Parswaraj Rana and Satyam Kamrai took one each.
