Violence raises its head on campus

vadodara: bitter animosity between two group of student leaders on ms university campus was exposed yet again on friday. this time, dharmesh panchal, ajay rana and sameer allegedly assaulted satish kahar and maulik pandya near dn hall ground at 1.10 pm on friday. it was learnt that one of the two injured received three stitches to head after being attacked with a screw-fixer.sayajigunj police have registered an offence under sections 325, 323, 114 and 135 of the indian penal code. police said panchal, rana and sameer are absconding. significantly, panchal was allegedly beaten up by former msusu gs amar dhomse and former fgs of commerce faculty amit ghotikar on science faculty campus on thursday. later, the same day, nsui and abvp senior leaders had a confrontation. both lodged cross complaints, taking sides of their junior student leaders. nsui had accused abvp members and supporters of msusu gs mehul lakhani and vp bharat dangar of beating up neerav desai and mehul ojha. supporters of lakhani and dangar, on the other hand, accused ghotikar and dhomse of nsui of attacking panchal on science faculty campus. sayajigunj police inspector m s patel however had managed to get them agreed on a compromise. however, the compromise failed. friday's attack on the two students is also seen as one of settling score for thursday's incident.
