Vijay sent lewd messages from customers phone

AHMEDABAD: City police has arrested a man Vijay Mistry, 27 resident of Vijapur for sending lewd messages to a friend’s mother.
Police sources said Mistry runs a mobile repairing shop and used to operate social media accounts by different identities.
“One of the identity he acquired was by the name of Miral Shah. He uploaded a girl’s picture as the display profile started chatting with one of his relative” said a police official.
However when Mistry was asked by his relative, how does he (Mistry) know him, Mistry in the guise of Miral shah said she is his mother’s friend.
Mistry then asked for his mother’s photo and her cell number. “Mistry liked the photo and then sending lewd messages to her on her cell phone” said a cyber-cell official.
Later, a complaint was lodged at the cyber cell recently. “We then got the IP address of the device from which the messages were sent. However as Mistry used to put his sim card in the cell phones which came for repair at his shop we could not ascertain his identity” said a cyber-cell official.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, KN Patel said they then took the location from which the calls and chats were being made and then zeroed down on Mistry.
