Ahmedabad: Video of men atop speeding car goes viral, complaint filed

AHMEDABAD: City traffic police on Monday filed a complaint against six men after a video showing three of them sitting on the roof of a speeding car and two hanging out of its windows went viral on Sunday.

According to the FIR filed with M Division traffic police, a video showing a sedan with two persons hanging out of its open windows and three seated on the roof between Vejalpur police chowky and JP petrol pump in Jivraj Park went viral on Sunday.

From the registration number of the car, police identified five men — Vipul Rabari, a resident of Sahajanand Flats in Vejalpur; Mahesh Rabari, a resident of Shivam Apartments in Vejalpur; Bharat Rabari, a resident of Thaltej; Dinesh Rabari, a resident of Jivraj Park and Lalu Rabari from Vejalpur. One man is yet to be identified, police said.

M Division traffic police registered a complaint for rash driving, endangering others’ lives and abetment under the Indian Penal Code along with charges under the Motor Vehicles Act against the six persons.
