AHMEDABAD: Cops investigating the murder of a 64-year-old woman in Usmanpura earlier this week are preparing the sketch of a person local residents say had frequented her house. Police have also sought telephone records of the deceased woman to find out whether she had any interaction with someone unusual.
Satnam Kaur Nathani, 64, a resident of Abhivruddhi Flats behind Navgujarat College, was found dead in her flat by her neighbours on Friday.

She was bludgeoned to death by a hammer, after being strangulated. Police registered a case of loot with murder as the victim’s daughter reported that Rs 1 lakh her mother had withdrawn recently was missing along with the gold jewellery.
Satnam Kaur was living alone after the death of her husband and transfer of her son to Pune. She was looked after by her daughter who lived in Vastrapur. DCP, Zone I, Virendra Singh Yadavtold TOI that some of the people living nearby had seen a tall, lean man enter Satnam Kaur’s residence a couple of times. “We are preparing a sketch of the suspect to ascertain whether a known criminal or someone living close to the area is involved. Police teams are already collecting technical and human data for the case,” he said.
Naranpura police have also sought details of all the labourers working at the building and also the carpenters who had offered to install iron grills for safety.
