Gandhinagar: The Union govt sanctioned Rs 1,078 crore from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund for 41 projects on state-managed roads in Gujarat, an official statement said on Wednesday.
This approval was the outcome of a meeting held on Nov 25, 2025, in Gandhinagar between CM Bhupendra Patel and Union minister for road transport and highways
Nitin Gadkari, the statement said. Projects including widening, strengthening, resurfacing, and structural work will be undertaken over a total length of 564.57km from the approved funds.

The statement said that, of the sanctioned funds, Rs 636 crore will be used for 11 road-widening projects on state highways covering a total of 229.20km in the districts of Patan, Kutch, Banaskantha, Kheda, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Valsad, Amreli, Jamnagar, and Vadodara.
For the strengthening and resurfacing of roads, 23 projects covering 335.37 kilometres will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 408.33 crore, including works in the districts of Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Tapi, Navsari, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Surendranagar, Amreli, Surat, and Jamnagar.
In addition to these projects, Rs 33.80 crore was approved from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund for seven structural projects, including works in the districts of Tapi, Surat, and Dang.
