Transport initiatives: Ahmedabad City Police and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation awarded

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad City Police and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation were conferred with award of excellence for a project ‘effective street management towards sustainable mobility of vehicular traffic’.
Additional commissioner of police, Sector -2 Ashok Kumar Yadav and city Mayor Bijal Patel received the award at a function in held in Nagpur.
The function was organzied by ministry of housing and urban affairs, government of India.
Addional CP Ashok Kumar Yadav said the project was undertaken under the guidance of commissioner of police, Ahmedabad A K Singh.
“We received the award under the category of best city urban transport initiatives. I received the award on behalf of city police,” added Yadav.
