Taxi driver beaten up by couple in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: A 54-year-old taxi driver from Vadaj filed a complaint with Adalaj police alleging he was thrashed by a couple, their driver and a security guard after he refused to load their luggage into his cab.
Harish Bulani, a resident of Suryalok Apartments, said he accepted a trip from Water Lily apartments in Adani Shantigram to Kalupur railway station on Sunday afternoon.When Bulani reached Shantigram, he found that Mayank Arora and his wife Avneet had too many bags which he could not load into his cab. Bulani requested them to cancel the trip but this infuriated the couple who allegedly abused and assaulted him.
Their driver Santosh Mishra and a security guard named Lalu Desai also assaulted him, the FIR stated. A complaint of causing hurt, uttering of abusive words and criminal intimidation was filed against Mayank, Avneet, Mishra and Desai.
