State BJP executive meet at Kevadia colony
The BJP has decided to adopt a political resolution congratulating Chief Minister Narendra Modi for efficient handling of the Narmada project.
The unanimous resolution is likely to be adopted at a proposed two-day meeting of the executive committee of Gujarat BJP to be held at Kevadia colony, the main site of the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Project on June 24 and 25.
This is the second important meeting of the party after the three-day Chintan Shibir of the state BJP held at Gandhidham indicating that the state leadership has started revitalising the party organisation with Assembly elections fast approaching.
A team of party functionaries has been asked to prepare the resolution on Narmada and also on other current topics like steep increase in the prices of petroleum products for which the party would mount a scathing attack on the Congress-led UPA being supported by the Left.
Reliable party sources hinted that the BJP would also take on the Congress party for its negative stand on Narmada project and BJP leaders would assail the Congress for its role in recent agitations on Narmada issue.
