AHMEDABAD: A team of Vastrapur police rounded up six persons after they were found involved in breaking glasses of parked cars after a scuffle on Monday night. Police stated that the incident took place when some of the locals protested against a group of inebriated youths.
According to Vastrapur police, Sachin Patel, a resident of Thaltej, went to Rameshwar Apartment in Thaltej to meet his friends and have liquor near Auda housing scheme late on Monday night. As the group started quarreling and yelling, the nearby residents asked them to behave and leave the spot.
"Agitated, the group smashed windows of parked cars. After the local residents reported the uproar, a team went to the spot and rounded up Patel, 20, Vikas Jadav, a resident of Sardarnagar, Pankaj Keshavlal, Devang Ramesh, Jayesh Thakor and Suresh Barot. They have been booked for damage to property and violation of prohibition laws," said a Vastrapur police official.
