The FIR states that Parmar was running a call centre in Emerald Complex on CG Road in Navrangpura for a private bank to sell credit cards. A woman named Hetal Parmar, a resident of Saraspur, was his colleague there, said police sources.
Parmar used her pictures and identity proof documents of different women to get at least 86 sim cards issued. According to the police, he needed those sim cards to make calls to sell credit cards.
The FIR stated that Parmar had cheated the system by fraudulently obtaining the sim cards. Cops booked Parmar and another man, who was selling sim cards in Behrampura, for breach of trust, forgery, producing forged documents as genuine and abetment.
The SOG had also found two similar cases of obtaining sim cards fraudulently in Maninagar and Shah-e-Alam areas.
