GANDHINAGAR: Along with the announcement of promotion of the 1997 batch of IAS officers to principal secretary rank from secretary rank, the Gujarat government announced the transfer and appointment of Jai Prakash
Shivahare
, secretary and commissioner, health and family welfare department, as managing director of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), Vadodara.
GUVNL is the umbrella company of all state power utility companies. Shivahare will replace
Shahmeena Husain
at GUVNL. Husain has been promoted to the rank of principal secretary and appointed in place of Shivahare in the health and family welfare department.
