AHMEDABAD: Three accused -- Shahid Ahmad Bakshi, Farhan Ahmed Ali and Hafiz Mohammad Tahir -- were brought to the city on a transfer warrant from Tihar Jail by the crime branch on Saturday.

AHMEDABAD: Three accused -- Shahid Ahmad Bakshi, Farhan Ahmed Ali and Hafiz Mohammad Tahir -- were brought to the city on a transfer warrant from Tihar Jail by the crime branch on Saturday.
The trio have been charged with hatching a conspiracy to kill caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi, VHP international general secretary Pravin Togadia and a host of other BJP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena and VHP activists.

They had been arrested by the Delhi police. Four kg of RDX, two detonators, a pistol and a magazine were recovered from the accused.
Delhi police had claimed that Bakshi, who hails from Dariapur area here, along with the others from Moradabad (UP) and Pakistan respectively had been trained by Lashker-e-Taiba.
The trio have been remanded in custody till December 24 with the crime branch for further interrogation and investigation of the case.
