Seven held for cheating unemployed youths
AHMEDABAD: Over 20 youths desperately seeking jobs have been allegedly cheated by a Navrangpura firm which offered them double returns on data entry work. Officials of Navrangpura police station said three unemployed youths approached them with complaints against the firm, after which police arrested seven persons belonging to the firm.
In-charge inspector of Navrangpura police station, H B Patel said that seven persons including Dimple Prajapti, 27, a resident of Naroda; Laxmi Panchal, 25, a resident of Sabarmati; Vinod Mishra, 46, a resident of Chandkheda, Jaydip Parmar, 23, from Gomtipur, Gaurang Soni, 22, from Umreth, Shoebali Syed, 19, from Mahemdavad and Puja Trivedi from Ghatlodia were arrested under charges of

The company officials told him that he would get Rs 6,000 if he does his work with 65% accuracy within a week. Prajapati did the work in the stipulated time, but the company officials did not pay him any returns and neither refunded his deposit despite repeated requests. Later, he came to know that several other persons had been cheated by the same firm after and filed the complaint with Navrangpura police.

, Jay Prajapati, who is pursuing a diploma in automobiles from Polytechnic College in the city, he saw details of a firm named Super Info-wave for online data entry work in October. He then registered with the firm seeking work from them. After a few days, he got a call from an employee of the firm who asked him to visit the firm near Dinesh Hall lane in Navrangpura. After meeting the company officials, Prajapati decided to take a work of doing data entry in 50 pages given by the firm for which he had to pay Rs 3,000 deposit.The company officials told him that he would get Rs 6,000 if he does his work with 65% accuracy within a week. Prajapati did the work in the stipulated time, but the company officials did not pay him any returns and neither refunded his deposit despite repeated requests. Later, he came to know that several other persons had been cheated by the same firm after and filed the complaint with Navrangpura police.
