AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat government late on Saturday issued transfer orders of 58 IPS officers.
Sanjay Srivastava has been made the new Ahmedabad
commissioner
of police (CP).
Ajay Tomar, special CP of crime branch, is the new CP of Surat city; Surat CP R B Brahmbhatt has been appointed the chief of Vadodara city. Among other significant appointments, Abhay Chudasama, IGP, Vadodara range, has been transferred as IGP, Gandhinagar range.
He has been relieved of additional charge of joint director, civil defence, Ahmedabad. Amit Kumar Vishwakarma, JCP, Sector-1, Ahmedabad city, has been transferred as JCP (crime), Ahmedabad along with the additional charge of ADGP ATS and coastal security.
Anupam Singh Gahlaut, Vadodara CP, has been made ADGP, intelligence in Gandhinagar. T S Bisht, DG (civil defence) and commandant general (home guards) has been appointed DGP CID (crime & railways).
